Privacy Policy
How Open Vision handles your data and privacy.
Effective Date: 1 January 2025  •  Open Vision Engineering

1. Overview

Open Vision ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Manager handles information when you use our tools. PDF Manager is a fully client-side application — all file processing occurs entirely within your browser.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of the following:

  • The PDF files or documents you process using any tool
  • The text content extracted from your documents
  • Images or output files generated by the tools
  • Personal identification information
  • Usage logs or analytics data
  • IP addresses or device identifiers

3. Local Browser Storage

PDF Manager stores your API keys and tool preferences locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data or using the Settings page.

4. AI-Powered Tools

When you use AI-powered tools (PDF Summarizer, PDF Translator, PDF AI Assistant), text extracted from your PDF is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or Brock API) using the API key you supply. We do not act as an intermediary — your API requests go directly from your browser to the AI provider.

Please review the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider to understand how they handle your data.

5. Third-Party Libraries

PDF Manager loads open-source JavaScript libraries from public CDN services (Cloudflare CDN, Google Fonts). These CDN providers may log standard server access data such as your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Cookies

PDF Manager does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. localStorage is used solely for saving your settings as described in Section 3.

7. Children's Privacy

PDF Manager is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of PDF Manager after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
